Andrea Casetti

I am an Italian image maker based in Amsterdam. Technical craft is at the core of my work and shapes how I approach every project.

In film I can take on every aspect of production, from pre-production and filming through lighting, editing, color grading and sound design. I also work as part of larger teams where my focus is on cinematography and the camera.

Photography was the first medium I explored. In Amsterdam that practice deepened through analog work, learning to develop and print in the darkroom, and expanding into professional studio shoots. An almost obsessive passion for analog gear has led me to collect, over the years, cameras from almost every era and format. Working with different bodies and lenses constantly changes how I see and helps me find the right approach for each project.

I teach film and photography content creation in Amsterdam and lead a five-day workshop once a year in Lyon with students from Cinéfabrique and the French Dance School ÉLAN. I also teach one-on-one and in small groups the joys of darkroom developing and printing.
